Interim Technical Lead – Dry Process Area

Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in industrial construction projects and commissioning? Our client, a leading industrial organisation in Wallonia, is seeking an Interim Technical Lead – Dry Process Area to oversee the final stages of a multi-package construction project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead critical activities and ensure seamless handover to Operations and Maintenance teams.

Some of the Interim Technical Lead’s key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate project close-out and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications;
  • Manage interfaces between contractors on a multi-package construction site to achieve successful completion of project milestones through final handover;
  • Prepare and distribute detailed project schedules, including six-week look-ahead schedules, high-level master schedule, Weekly and bi-weekly training and commissioning schedules;
  • Report functionally and hierarchically to the Deputy Project Manager;
  • Engage daily with contractors, suppliers, site teams, Operations, Maintenance, and HSE personnel;
  • Participate in structured meetings such as daily coordination sessions, weekly project reviews, and cross-area coordination involving NGL, Dry Process, Wet Process, Utilities, and other work packages.

Your Profile:

  • You have 5–10 years of experience in industrial construction projects with hands-on expertise in commissioning and installation supervision.
  • You show solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering disciplines.
  • You are familiar with ATEX environments.
  • You speak French fluently and a professional-level English is considered an advantage.
  • You are highly organized, autonomous, and solution-oriented with a strong field presence (mandatory: 5 days per week).
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and operations/maintenance teams.
  • You are able to communicate clearly and concisely while providing high-level summaries when needed.

This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of a complex industrial project while working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment, initially for 6 months, but renewable for an additional 6 months.
