About the role

As an HR Advisor, you will provide practical, commercially minded HR advice to managers and employees across Belgium. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations – Northern Europe, you will work closely with the regional HR Advisory team and specialist HR colleagues to support effective people management, a positive employee experience and consistent application of our HR policies.

This is an advisory role, with day-to-day people administration primarily handled by our HR Shared Services team.

Your responsibilities as an HR Advisor

• Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees on HR policies, Belgian employment legislation and people matters.
• Coach managers through performance, conduct and employee relations issues, helping them make informed decisions and handle sensitive conversations confidently.
• Support grievances, investigations and disciplinary processes, ensuring a fair, consistent and respectful approach.
• Identify people-related risks early, recommend practical solutions and escalate complex matters when appropriate.
• Ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently, taking Belgian legislation and local business needs into account.
• Help implement regional and global HR initiatives across the Belgian business.
• Use HR data, employee feedback and emerging trends to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and support business performance.
• Collaborate with HR Shared Services and specialist teams to provide coordinated, effective support.
  
  

About you

• You hold a degree in Human Resources.
• You have at least 3 years or more experience in providing HR advice in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
• You have a strong working knowledge of Belgian employment legislation and can translate it into clear, practical advice.
• You communicate confidently in Dutch, French and English.
• You build trust easily and feel comfortable working with colleagues at every level, from new starters to senior leaders.
• You combine sound judgement and a pragmatic approach with the confidence to challenge constructively.
• You are organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities, both independently and as part of a wider team.
• You are comfortable using Microsoft Office, HR systems and data to support your recommendations.
• You handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
