Interim Head of Finance

One of our clients, a medium-sized insurance company located in Brussels, is looking for a self-employed (freelance) interim Head of Finance for a period of 6 months with a start mid-September.

The Interim Manager’s key responsibilities will include:

• be a business partner who proactively guides business teams in finance and budget management
• manage the annual and monthly budgeting process
• monitor and perform variance-analysis of the actuals compared to the budget to quickly find deviations in expected performance
• in charge of financial and strategic planning
• managing the contacts with the Financial Services and Markets Authority
• managing a small team, including back-office activities, accounting & reporting

The key qualifications required for this interim management job:

• The ideal candidate has a strong and relevant experience in financial management in the insurance sector or financial services sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude is MANDATORY.
• An experience with dealing with the FSMA is a strong asset.
• He/she is trilingual Dutch-English-French.
