Our client, a key player in the financial services sector, is seeking a Credit Rating Analyst to support underwriting operations and contribute to the commercial growth of its credit insurance business. The role is based in Brussels and offers a hybrid working model.

Duties of the Credit Rating Analyst:

• Analyse and assess trade credit risks for a wide range of sectors and clients.
• Support underwriters in credit rating decisions, including sensitive or high-exposure cases.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare risk evaluation reports.
• Engage with buyers, clients, and brokers to resolve credit limit and rating issues.
• Monitor portfolio exposures using automated alerts and proactive tracking methods.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to support policy renewals, client retention, and acquisition.
• Update internal tools and ensure data consistency across departments.

The ideal profile for the Credit Rating Analyst:

• Master’s degree in finance, Economics or equivalent qualification.
• Solid understanding of credit risk, financial statements, and sector-specific risk factors.
• You are perfectly fluent in Dutch and very comfortable in English. French is an asset.
• Analytical thinker with strong business awareness and numerical agility.
• Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to prioritise, make quick decisions, and handle multiple files simultaneously.
