My first experience with Robert Walters dates from 2007, when I found a new job with the help of a Robert Walters consultant. I remember very well how he took the time to get to know me as a person and the added value he and his manager brought during the onboarding process. When I decided to look for a new challenge after a few years, I turned again to Robert Walters. For deontology reasons, they were unable to help me in my search at that time. Although it was a pity, I strongly appreciated that sense of deontology and honesty. These positive experiences played an important role later, in my decision to work with Robert Walters as a business partner I can trust to help our organization grow.

Today, I collaborate with both the permanent and interim management division of Robert Walters and I still see that same DNA, the sense of professionalism and service-oriented attitude with Audrey and Marie, the consultants I’m mainly in contact with.

In the past few years, Audrey from the interim management division has recruited several interim managers for Coreso, mainly within finance and legal. For each assignment, she takes the time to fully understand the requirements and the challenges of the position she’ll recruit for. Because she knows our organization so well, it allows her to identify not only candidates with the best technical fit, but also with the right personality. The way Robert Walters presents the best candidates for the role is far from transactional: besides the CV, I also receive a synopsis explaining why they believe this candidate is a good fit. This proves that the consultants really took the time to get to know the person behind the CV, but it also allows me to take a step back and look beyond the candidate’s experience and the requirements we defined. 

Keeping an open mind and listening to Robert Walters’ advice on why they feel this candidate would be a good fit has proven to be a successful approach. 

What I also highly appreciate is the consultants’ honesty and transparent communication: when they feel they cannot find the right candidate for the role, they don’t hesitate to tell us. We have built a long-term relationship that is based on trust, not only with our responsible consultant, but with the whole Robert Walters team behind them. For each recruitment I trust them with, I’m convinced that they will provide a tailored solution that fits our needs.
