Meet Gül

I was approached by a Robert Walters consultant via LinkedIn because he was looking for a professional with experience within consolidation for one of his clients. Although I already had some experience within consolidation, I would never have taken the initiative to apply for a consolidation role myself. The interview went very smoothly, and I immediately felt confident that the consultant and his colleagues at Robert Walters would do everything they could to help me in my next career move.  

My application was presented to Ageas, and despite their doubts about whether I would be the best fit for the job, they gave me the chance to come for an interview. Here, too, he played an important role.

My consultant emphasized what added value my competences could bring to the organization and how my personality would be a great fit with Ageas’ international company culture, which I greatly appreciated.

The whole recruitment process took a while, but my consultant took the necessary time before each interview to get me prepared. After each interview round at Ageas, he contacted me to ask for my feedback, but also to give honest feedback himself. If I didn't hear anything for a few days, he always reassured me, so I didn't give up hope or felt I was being ignored.

I was very happy when my consultant called me to say I could start as an IFRS Financial Reporting Analyst at Ageas! That decision really changed my life, and I owe a lot to him and his colleagues at Robert Walters. They kept believing in me and did everything they could to find me a job that really suited me, just as if they were doing it for themselves. Even shortly after I started, my consultant called me to hear how things were going, and I know I can always turn to him for tips and advice in the future.
