Accounting Manager

An exciting opportunity is available for a driven Accounting Manager to lead accounting activities across multiple entities. Based in Berchem and Vottem, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and the continued professionalization of the Finance function.

As Accounting Manager, you will lead and develop accounting teams across both locations, foster collaboration and continuous improvement, and contribute to finance transformation initiatives, process harmonization and automation projects in an international environment.

Your responsibilities as Accounting Manager :

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all Benelux entities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations, tax and VAT requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and account reconciliations.
• Act as the main contact person for internal and external audits.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach and develop the accounting teams across Berchem and Vottem.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure efficient ways of working and clear responsibilities within the team.
• Support employee development and talent growth initiatives.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Standardize and optimize accounting processes across the Benelux region.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial compliance practices.
• Drive automation, digitalization and efficiency projects.
• Participate in finance transformation, system implementations and organizational change initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Finance leadership and key business stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Controlling, Treasury, Supply Chain and other departments.
• Support cross-functional projects while ensuring accounting compliance and governance requirements.

About You :

• You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• You bring minimum 7 years of experience within Accounting or Finance, including team management.
• You have strong leadership skills and enjoy coaching and developing people.
• You have experience within a multi-entity and/or international environment.
• You possess a solid understanding of accounting regulations; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• You are familiar with VAT, corporate tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• You have experience with process optimization and transformation projects.
• You are comfortable working with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• You combine analytical thinking with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, English and French.
• You thrive in an international environment with multiple stakeholders.
• You are willing to travel regularly between Berchem and Vottem.
