Plant Controller

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next Interim Management assignment in an industrial environment? Based in the Liège region, we are looking for a Plant Controller a.i. to support its financial operations for a minimum of 3 months, starting as soon as possible. This assignment offers the opportunity to take on a key finance role, combining financial controlling, performance analysis and business support.

Your responsibilities as a Plant Controller :

• Oversee management accounting activities and ensure accurate financial follow-up for the plant.
• Coordinate the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting.
• Support the Plant Manager and Finance Director Europe with budgets, forecasts, KPIs and performance reporting.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to internal stakeholders based on results and performance.
• Conduct financial analyses covering profitability, break-even, costs and metal balance.
• Manage CAPEX requests, including payback calculations, and monitor investment performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead key finance projects, including management cost accounting, SAP-related changes and the integration of new legal entities.
• Contribute to financial, tax and transfer pricing considerations linked to structural and business changes.

The role reports hierarchically to the Plant Manager and functionally to the EU Finance Director. You will work closely with the Belgian corporate office and have one direct report.

About you :

• You have at least 10 years of experience in Financial Controlling or Accounting within an industrial environment; audit experience is a plus.
• You have strong Excel skills, with knowledge of SAP and reporting tools such as Sigma Reporting considered an advantage.
• You are analytical, precise and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy.
• You are fluent in French and English.
• You are collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability.
• You are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a hands-on and results-driven environment.
• You have experience working with diverse stakeholders, ideally in a matrix organisation and/or a Private Equity environment.
