Responsable Comptable et Financier

Our client, an international family-owned company based in Wallonia and operating in a technical and industrial environment, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead its accounting and financial activities.

Reporting directly to General Management, you will play a central role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

The responsibilities of the Finance & Accounting Manager:

• Oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting.
• Manage monthly and annual closings, audits, and internal control processes.
• Prepare consolidated reports, financial analyses, and key performance indicators.
• Monitor budgets, project profitability, and financial performance.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing solutions.
• Handle letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other international trade finance instruments.
• Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead a small team and contribute to the optimization of financial processes and reporting tools.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management on financial and business matters.

The ideal Finance & Accounting Manager:

• Has at least 10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Possesses a strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards.
• Has mandatory experience with letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Is comfortable working in an international and multi-entity environment.
• Is proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Speaks fluent French and English.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
• Combines leadership abilities with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
